Can a 10 yr old kid highlight or dye her hair any color?

plz tell him cuz i hav a 10 yr old daughter dat wantz to dye her hair pink lik Avril lavaine but i dunt knoe if it iz okCan a 10 yr old kid highlight or dye her hair any color?
I let my 12 year old put in temporary pink highlights one year for her birthday. The school sent her home and said the hairstyle was too disruptive. She was not allowed back until the color was gone. My advice is to let her wait until high school. ';Standing out'; too much in elementary school is never a good idea. Even if the school okays it, it may make her a target with her peer group.

By the way, you can ask for yourself. It's obvious that you aren't an adult. Can a 10 yr old kid highlight or dye her hair any color?
As soon as you figure it out let me know...

The answer is, ';Hells No';
Don't dye it! That can end up damaging the hair.

U should just do highlights or get that stuff from the store that eventually washs out in the shower

Good Luck!
its okay, if you the parent says it is
No
fist as a mother learn to speak english please. then you tell her you're the parent, you set the rules.
only with permission from a parent

like piercing an ear or getting a tattoo
of course they can...but i wouldnt recommend it...and if you are going to do it...take her to a professional.
yes

but it really depends on what school she goes to

My old school doesn't care what color ur hair is and there is a 11 year old has a rain bow mohawks hair but my school here in Texas won;t let u dye ur hair in a unatrual color even the school in high school becuz they are stupid.

I'm dying my hair green in the summer

cuz of my ******* school
The parents sets the boundaries. If they don't want her to dye her hair pink then they should say no. I wouldn't let a ten year old permanently dye her hair pink

You could try a temporary dye like Streekers. You can apply it, let her wear it for a day or two then wash it out.
I highly recommend something temporary that can be removed for formal occasions and school.

There are many products to temporarily turn hair pink that wash out. They have special gels and hair sprays that you can use to add color that shampoo right out. Also you can hair clips with fake pink wig hair that you pin in your real hair, and pink extensions that you can later take out.

a kid of ten? its abuse. they are only kids, when they reach 15/17. that's when they can make choices.it is up to them. if you do this for her/your vanity, sorry, your wrong
My mom started to let me get perms-which I think can count as highlights since it's a permanent hair style for several months, when I was 13. Personally, I think pink is a little out there,LOL.
Only if she has plankton for parents.
Well, it may not be appropriate, but it is one way for a kid to show indiviulaity and personality. Unless the school they attend has a policy against unnatural hair color, it's probably harmless (if you go to a salon, where the chemicals may not be too abrasive for a developing and likely sensitive scalp).
No, not old enough.

It seems like buying hairdye is the least of your problems.
Pink sounds cute, and not too adult.

maybe its just a phase for her.
I don't think she should do it by herself, but it's not going to hurt her.
I think it just depends on parents decisions.

Or unless it's against school dress code.
NO WAY
well it is okay, but do a strand test first to see if she has an allergic reaction to the product, other than that i dont see the harm
its ok

its self-expression
cmon!!..way to young..you allow that her ego well go sky high.
My girls both get their hair highlighted, but the schools they attend won't let kids have an ';unnatural'; color in their hair...so, no pink, no blue, etc...my girls both get blonde and red streaks. They are ages 10 and 13.
Yes, provided the parent approves. My daughter dyed her hair pink and blue at 12. I figured it was better to let her get it out of her system while she is young and all the kids are weird than to have her trying things like this later in life when it could hamper her job opportunities.
Sure!!! Any age can dye his/ her hair. Some advice though, don't get any in his/ her eyes. I hope you found the answer you were looking for.
no you cant
Pink's a cool color and you woun't lose her in a crowed so her mom should be grateful. I say let her do what she wants and if she doesn't like it she can always dye it back!
No it's not. At 10yrs old you HAVE to die it Grey/Silver. At 11 yrs old your allowed to die it Green. 12 you able to die it purple, 13 you not allowed to die it at all, 14 you can dye it turqiouse, and 15 your hair will probably fall out from all the dying done prior to that age.
yah why not by the way avril lavigne rocks
