I would do somthing 2-3 shades lighter or if you want somthing in the blonde family I would do a high and low light with blonde and a med brown with your dark brown. Sometimes if you have dark hair and you go to light it looks crazy and out of place.

what i like on black is a redish brown i did it by steaking it with just plain bleach and watching it when it got that color i washes it out and it lokoed great.
i think hilights look bad w/ real dark hair

but if u insist u should get a little bit lighter brown than ur reg. color so it looks naturel or u can get aburn or red.
I'm sure it's pretty shiny too. Darker hair reflects light so nicely. If you are determined to get highlights, I would choose a warm caramel color.

my sister said that if you have darker hair the best highlights would be like honey and caramel. Blond would make your hair look too streaky so the med. browns but stay around away from blonds.

i suggest u get lighter brown highlights, but not too light!

I think that a lighter shade of your hair would look good. maybe a light golden brown.
