Can you color your hair then right after highlight it?

i have light brown hair would like to make it lighter the highlite it blonderCan you color your hair then right after highlight it?
i have dyed my hair so many times. you can basically call me a dye queen. i learned how to basically do anything to my hair and i have learned that you can dye your hair and highlight it the same day. but, what i found to be easier was to take the strands you are dying and dye them one color. and then take the rest of your hair and dye it at the same time. this way, you don't have to wait as long. it makes you be able to do two things in the time of doing one!!!Can you color your hair then right after highlight it?
yes. lorea'l paris colour experte kits have both in them, you might want to look into those. it comes with the color and highlights.

i'm not sure if it's always a good idea to do this though. it's possible their kits have less harsh dyes in them, so that you can do it right away.

they work really great though. i highly recommend buying it.
it depends, were the highlights color or bleach? If color , color does not lighten color and if colored and you put bleach on colored hair will take longer to process than any virgin hair. need more details on your hair. I am licensed cosmetologist for 20 years.
Yes you can. Just watch your highlights so you do not over process them. Follow th manufactures directions that come with the highlights.
The key is to highlight after you do a base color to your whole head, if you're going to do the two.
I have tried both, and the l'oreal kits do work, but if you plan on completely coloring your hair then doing seperate highlights afterwards the color tends not to hold on, i did that once and you could barely see the highlights, it was a waste of time, if you can color your hair then wait a few weeks that is the best idea. Even with the kit the highlights are not very noticeable.
