okay so me and my two friends all have brown hair and mines semi dark brown. Im thinking of either purple or blue? or open to other suggestions..? were only doing highlights on like the buttom half of our hairs. anyway someone said i needed to bleach it first before i color it and idk because ive never done this so any advice on what i should by or do would be appreciatedWhat color is best when highlighting brown hair?
Personally, I don't think either of those colors would go well with brown. Try dying your hair darker, closer to black, then highlight it purple. I would never have the guts to do that but it looks cool on other people when they put purple streaks. And yes, you would have to bleach it first, or else you won't see the purple that well.What color is best when highlighting brown hair?
depends on how your skintone is. i have brown hair, and i dyed it a darker chestnut brown with caramel/copper highlights and it looks really good.. but my skin isn't pale, it's naturally a little bit tan. if you have a really pale skintone, i recommend light brown highlights.
