Can I color and Highlight my hair at home in the same night?

So I got a wild hair up my butt tonight, and I wanna change my look up a little bit. I have never tried to dye and highlight my hair in the same night, and i'm a little freaked out to if it's going to work or not...has anyone out there ever colored and highlighted they're hair on the same night, and it worked? Also, which products should I buy that are going to look the most real, and not fry my hair in the process?

you can, but you would have to dye it first, shower, blowdry, then do the highlights.
