What color highlights look good with medium brown hair?

I'm going into a new school . and i want my hair to look really pretty.[:





this is what i'm going to get done at the hair salon.





- Get the tips cut off


- get the damage all cut


- get almost-overlapping side bangs.





what color highlights should i get? i DON'T want blonde highlights.


I was thinking maybe, light brown.

Maybe even a dark chocolate or Carmel brown :)
