My favorite colors of highlights on dark brown hair is a gold or med copper (not a bright red), or even both. They show enough contrast without looking tooo light and both will look shinier and healthier. And with your tan skin and brown eyes those colors will also look really nice since they are all warm tones. Just don't go real light as in one of the links shown or too brassy.


Sounds like you're having it done professionally and that's a good idea. With your hair being your natural color a pro will be able to get exactly what you ask for. Just be specific and show them on a color chart. A pro will also be able to help you decide and hold those swatches next to your hair.
i would go with a deep red or a dark blonde but it also depends on how you wear your hair, is it wavy, curly or straight? id say if its straight go with a color thats a little bit lighter then your natural color, if its wavy or curly go with deep red of blonde cause it all mixes in together and looks pretty cool

maybe a color that is just a little lighter then your hair.. it usually looks good on people when they do that (: or a lot lighter would looks good .. maybe caramel.. but i dont recommend it.. lol ok well good luck!
either an auburn or a caramel color. just make sure the highlights aren't streaky because that would look awful!!
Carmel highlights would look good bring out your eyes and look awesome with your skin tone :)
