What color highlights would look good on me????

i have light brown skin, dark brown eyes, and dark brown hair ( its not that dark, but also not THAT light ). im going to get highlights next week, but im not sure what color i want yett. i want light brown highlights, but i DONT want it to look blonde. i dont like blonde highlights =/. i want light brown highlights but i dont know what SHADE of light brown highlights would look good on me. (hopefully this makes sense )

Yeah perfect! I think that when you want to get highlights you should always get one colour paler. If you don't get what I mean its like this:

Dark Brown


Pale Brown


Blonde


Strawberry Pink





If you have black hair, you should get dark brown highlights. If you have blonde hair, strawberry pink looks hot to me!

you should get a few colors of highlights. i would suggest a sandy blonde, a darker brown, and a lighter brownn.

I suggest the darkest golden blond and deep auburn highlights.(three colors including your own)


Go to a hair stylist that has a good reputation and knows how to proper highlight the hair, so that it all flows together nicely.


It will cost you a bundle but it will be worth the money and the effort.

i think a strawberry blonde would work, it has a hue of red, but not so red where it would drown out your face.

you;ve got a beautifull natural colour that alot of woman spend hours in the salon trying to achieve so i really wouldnt go any darker than your natural! what you should do is get lots of very very very subtle highlights, caramels, honey blondes, nothing bleachy or platinum! if u stay with the natural coloured highlights you wont be goin to the salon every 4weeks to get your regrowth done! and cos you look so young you;d want to complement your youth with soft tones and hues rather than making yourself look cheap like? i hope i have made some sense and helped out if u want me to go furthur into detail just let me know..What color highlights would suit me best?

Either blonde highlights, or go a shade darker all around.

its winter and your hair will be naturally darker, so why don't you get a dark shade of your colour (to keep it looking natural) underneath?


i think it will look really nice, and if your not too keen, itll be underneath anyway, so if you dont like it, it ownt matter and it wont look too drastic or different.


if you do fancy trying blond/white highlights, do them in summer, because your hair will be lighter from the sun, and the highlights will compliment this :)

Id go for a darker color of highlights. maybe a dark purple, black or a carmel highlight.

I would NEVER do a highlight with red hair. Maybe do a darker shade of you hair now. which would also be low-lights

Don't mix them together! Most people cannot pull those off, and I can't see a picture of you, depending on the person they can pull it off but it's way too edgey. almost any color will look good on black hair, as long as u blend it in.
try deep brown and red highlights. don't do anything too light or thick or they won't look natural. i have black hair and medium and dark brown highlights, it looks GREAT. try it out!

don't go any lighter than a level 4. anything lighter will end up looking trashy and you will spend a FORTUNE getting it done all the time. the closer you can get to natural, the less often it needs to be done. (that's the reason most stylists will do it. to make you come back every 3-5 weeks at $100 a pop -NO THANX)

If you want something noticeable go for the honey blonde. If you want soemthing not really noticable, but a change so that people will know there is a small change go for like a brown or aburn
Red usually looks pretty good with black, or try brown, that isn't that much different, but it makes it interesting. The hair stylist can probably give you some tips.
